Abstract

The article examines the current state of the maritime transport industry in Ukraine. Globalization processes determine the need for clarification and effective use of the competitive advantages of the seaports logistics systems at the national and international levels. They provide stable and long-term growth of the economy and competitiveness of the country, therefore special attention is paid to studying the problems of functioning of sea ports, both external and internal factors. The analysis of the largest seaports of Ukraine in terms of cargo turnover and the quality of sea transport services provision is carried out, an assessment of Ukraine's transport infrastructure as a whole is provided. It is offered the proposals to improve the competitiveness of Ukrainian ports in the context of globalization.
