Abstract

The article defines the concept of "social enterprise". The development of social enterprises in Ukraine and abroad is researched. The social importance of the emergence of this type of business in recent years has been determined. The composition and directions of activity of social enterprises in Ukraine were analyzed. The main tendencies of development of social business in our state were investigated. The main difficulties faced by entrepreneurs in the process of their activities are: lack of financial support, namely: lack of or difficult access to grants or other financial support from funds, partners, investors or the state to expand or start a business. The prospects of development of social entrepreneurship in Ukraine are determined. They include: legislative and financial support from the side of the state, local authorities, training of managers of social enterprises and expansion of production and technical base.
