Abstract

In recent years, the use of electric vehicles has become a global trend. Demand for this type of transport is rapidly increasing in Ukraine. It is specially noted that the market potential is still limited enough due to the underdeveloped infrastructure and low solvency of the population. A mention should be made, in the price context, several important steps have already been taken by the state authorities. In particular, the import duty and VAT for electric cars have been abolished. However, the main psychological barrier to buying an electric vehicle is no longer the price, but the lack of proper conditions for charging. After all, modern electric vehicles require the creation of a special ecosystem for full exploitation. Its participants are not only automakers and dealers, but also manufacturers and installers of charging stations, power plants, companies for the disposal of batteries, etc. The text gives valuable information on domestic charging infrastructure. It has improved considerably over the last few years. The growth rate of the number of charging stations is even higher than in Eastern Europe. However, there are currently fewer than 2,5 thousand charging stations in the country. At the same time as the current rates of development of the market for electric cars require at least 10-15 thousand charging stations. This applies in the first place to the lack of stations for recharging electric vehicles on the main highways of the country. As yet, in Ukraine, an electric car is a vehicle for traveling within the city. In most cases, it is recharged either at home at night or in the afternoon at the office. The main element of the infrastructure is still a socket. As a result, most electric vehicle buyers live in their own homes with a site where it is convenient to equip the charger. Significant growth rates of electric vehicles in Ukraine stimulate domestic business to invest in infrastructure projects. However, their implementation is hampered by a number of problems. Among them is the lack of standards for equipment for charging electric vehicles. In particular in parking lots, high investment costs for the production and installation of stations, possible overload of electric networks, lack of additional incentives for potential investors, etc.
