Abstract

The article discusses the main challenges in the management of assets of commercial banks in Ukraine, namely the following: the presence of distressed assets in the bank's economic resources, lack of effective preventive measures leveling of problem loans, credit and currency risks, as well as the Bank's sensitivity to changes in interest rates. Approaches to asset management, as well as their main differences and strengths and weaknesses. Identified key principles of asset management and the problem of increasing the efficiency of asset management of domestic banks. In addition, proposed some effective ways of improving the structure of assets.
