In this paper, the influence of competitive advantage on the choice of strategy in the process of competition. Analyzed the essence of the concept of competitiveness and its components. Defined the concepts of competitiveness and competitive advantage. Substantiates the importance of the determination of competitive advantages in developing strategies for competition. Installed and analyzed methods for determining competitive advantage. The effect of competitive advantages on the choice of strategy of the enterprise for successful functioning. The main types of competitive strategies for Ukrainian companies. In addition, on the basis of the study, the top management will be able to choose optimum strategy of behavior in a competitive environment. These suggestions will be useful for top-managers and management firms. The analysis showed that enterprises do not pay sufficient attention to the assessment of their competitive advantages. In market conditions can only grow a competitive enterprise.
