Accounting Reform Program contains statements that the transition to international standards will not conflict with the national accounting principles and financial reporting. On analyzing international and national provisions on stock, we faced a number of unresolved problems that cause some questions regarding the reasonability of transition. The article under consideration deals with the main factors of problems arising in the process of harmonization of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Standards) 9 "Stock" with the corresponding International Accounting Standards 2 "Stock" at the present stage of development of the world economy. There have been determined guidelines for improving primary accounting of realization of finished products and provided suggestions for improving the process of harmonization. Any process of change, including the process of changing of stock accounting standards based on the performance of certain functions. The first most important functions in the management of stock accounting is information and accounting control functions, due to which there is carried out timely provision of necessary information to all levels of enterprise management and managerial decision making.
