Abstract

The article considered the issues related to the entities and the definitions of investment climate and investment attractiveness of territorial systems. The analysis was carried out of dynamics of the volume of foreign direct investments (FDI) and capital (domestic) investments in the economy of the city of Odessa in comparison with other cities of Ukraine. The main barriers for investment have identified in both Odessa city and Ukraine as a whole. Basic directions to improve an investment attractiveness of Odessa city are offered which are directed at improving the economic, environmental and social situation in the city.
