The article is devoted to consideration of the role of reputation in ensuring competitive advantages of an enterprise. The article defines the function of the positive image and values of a positive image. In the process of the study identified: the main components of the company's image and specified its functions, and classification; the role of image as a component of the competitive advantages of the enterprise. Analyzed views on the importance of the image in creating the reputation, business credibility and the formation of competitive advantages of the enterprise. The impact of the image for improving the efficiency and strengthening competitive advantages of the enterprise. It is substantiated that development of theoretical principles and methodological tools of strategic management of the company image in a competitive environment is an urgent scientific problem of importance, the solution of which depends on the competitiveness of Ukrainian enterprises.
