In this article, we consider such important negative phenomena as the shadow economy and, as a consequence, the criminal economy. It's not a secret that these variations of the economy are illegal, but strangely enough, they are very developed in a number of countries, including Ukraine, which occupies one of the leading places in the prevalence of these violations at various levels of its economic structure. Therefore, the author considers this issue very relevant in modern realities and especially in the conditions of the economic crisis, the decline of the economy and others, which also did not bypass our country. In addition, the article examines the consequences of the shadow and criminal economy and risks for the country's economy and society as a whole. Also we raise the question about some methods to combat these phenomena.
