In the presented work, the process of creation and consumption of a positive image of the state, positioning, as the main method of formation, and a communicative strategy for its promotion is explored. One of the main aspects of soft power is international prestige. The authors study the concept of "the image of the state", the purpose of its construction, the functions and factors that influence the positive formation. Considerable attention is paid to the tools and mechanisms for the formation of a positive image of the country. The article analyzes the views of the researcher Ernest Galumov, the results of his study, the types of image, and gives examples. The logistic aspect of increasing the international competitiveness of the country is determined. In the end, it tells about business reputation or goodwill, concepts and factors of influence on them.
