Assessment of realization of export specialization potential by the international business

Abstract

It is shown, that the index of specialization of export reflects only a potential of export specialization, but not its real value. For an assessment of realization of potential, it is offered to introduce an index of real specialization of and an index of real specialization of export. The index of real specialization of import more corresponds to the problem of an assessment of realization of export specialization potential while the index of real specialization of export most corresponds to the problem of an assessment of the international business in bilateral trade of separate commodities. On the example of Ukraine and Germany, calculations of traditional and introduced two new indicators are carried out. Advantages of the foreign partner international business in realization of export specialization potential are revealed. The list of the branches with potential comparative advantages on which it is expedient to concentrate efforts of the Ukrainian international business for the purpose of fuller realization of export specialization potential is provided.
