Abstract

The oil and fat industry of Ukraine is one of the leading branches of the food industry, which is a structural subcomplex of the agroindustrial complex and is a fairly economically developed, well-established, constantly functioning system. The oil and fat industry of Ukraine shows high growth rates of production, consumption and occupies one of the leading positions in exports. Given the export orientation of the industry, it is relevant to study the consequences and prospects of the market for oilseed crops in a globalized environment. Oil-bearing crops are a source of valuable food products and technical purposes. The share of profit from their sale in the profits from the sale of agricultural products is constantly increasing. That is why the potential of oilseeds significantly affects the profitability and competitiveness of the country's agrarian sector. The theoretical and methodical principles of forming the proposal on the agro-food market, its main functions, conditions of effective functioning and criteria characterizing the structure of the market are considered. The current state and trends of development of world and domestic markets of oilseeds production and factors influencing them are analyzed. The questions of optimization of the natural and economic potential of cultivating oilseeds are highlighted, strategic directions of increasing the production efficiency of oilseed crops for limited financial and credit support are given.
