Abstract

In the article the current sectoral and territorial structure of foreign direct investments in the economy of Ukraine are analyzed by the author. During the analysis of the sectoral structure the author established that the largest part of foreign direct investments is concentrated in such types of economic activities as «industry» and «financial and insurance activity». The largest part of foreign direct investments in industry is concentrated in such types of economic activities as «food, beverage and tobacco products» and «metallurgy, production of completed metal products, except cars and equipment». During the analysis of the territorial structure the author established that the largest part of foreign direct investments is concentrated in Kyiv. From the presented in the article data the author concludes that the current sectoral and territorial structure of foreign direct investments into the economy of Ukraine are not sufficiently balanced due to the uneven economic development of its regions, therefore, it is necessary to take measures to eliminate these disproportions.
