Abstract

The key to modern Ukraine's globalization challenges is to increase the differentiation of regions in terms of sustainable development. The article focuses on the peculiarities of each of the types of regions that determine one or another type of strategy to be followed in order to enhance the convergence processes in the state. The author focuses on the choice of strategic alternatives in selecting a strategy for the development of regions to ensure convergent processes and presented areas of strategic decisions financial support sustainable development of regions. Applying these strategies will ensure a leading position for strong regions and give impetus to underdeveloped ones, as well as achieve a higher level of regional convergence through identified mechanisms.
