The economic conditions that have developed in recent years in Ukraine put the industry's task to meet not only the domestic demand for high-quality products, but also to provide the population with high-quality products and enter the EU market. In the conditions of expanding competition, the factor, such as the state of the general market situation, becomes of increasing importance for ensuring the stability of production and profitability of products. As part of the analysis of market conditions, the study of market segmentation is a prerequisite for the formation of a coherent picture of the state of the market that is needed to create a state economic and social policy of market regulation. Only by determining the volume of consumption and the main groups of consumers, it is possible to decide on the need for certain changes in the industry.
