The issues of balanced development of the renewable energy market in Ukraine, which arose with the introduction of a "green" tariff, are considered. The necessity of detailed consideration of technological restrictions is determined and the development of a financial model is proposed in order to avoid possible bankruptcy of market subjects and eliminate imbalances in the production of electricity. An analysis of the current model of the "green" tariff, which supports large producers, is being carried out. Based on the results of the analysis of the world history of energy development, it is proved that it was the generation of small capacities that led to success. The need to develop new models of stimulating renewable energy sources that will make this sphere of energy more interesting for small and medium-sized businesses is determined and the balanced development of the energy system together with large producers will be seen.
