Abstract

In the article the production functions of Cobb-Douglas and Cobb-Douglas-Tinbergen are considered, and the difference between them is found. The main methodological provisions of modeling the growth factors of metallurgical production on the basis of the production function of Cobb-Douglas-Tinbergen were also considered. The model for the analysis of production volume is excluded and the factor of fixed capital is excluded. The analysis of the received function is made on the subject of its adequacy and statistical significance, and measures are proposed for more rational use of the factors influencing the volume of production. Practical definitions concerning the interpretation of the parameters of the specified production function are given. The predictive value of the pay factor for the 2019 linear trend line is calculated, as well as the statistical production of Statistica software with a 95% confidence interval. All theoretical aspects are illustrated on a concrete example with the help of statistical information of the largest enterprises of the metallurgical industry.
