Book publishing as the traditional basis of the information sphere of Ukraine, which has a long book culture, belongs to the strategic priorities of the state in the humanitarian sphere and needs special political responsibility. National book publishing and book distribution serve as a fundamental function, first of all, in the formation of the cultural and educational space and the spiritual growth of a new generation of the Ukrainian nation, in the development and consolidation of the languages of the ethnic groups of Ukraine and the state language as a decisive ethno-consolidating factor. National book publishing as a strategic industry is an integral part of national security and needs state support. Today, the book industry in Ukraine has a number of problems. In the conditions of rather low indexes of book-book, reducing the reader's demand for a printed publication, the output to the end user is a strategically important task for each particular publishing house, as well as the author himself. In order to attract interest in the published literature, the publisher and author need a well thought-out effective strategy for informing consumers about books, forming a positive image of the publisher through it, and, finally, promoting reading. Therefore, an analysis of the state and prospects in the field of book promotion, identification of trends in its development is a theoretical and practical issue for the current book market and is extremely relevant. The publication of book products focuses on simultaneous printing, digital and mobile publishing; crossformity; creating multimedia presentations that combine interactive illustrations, audio and video effects. The effectiveness of book publishing in European countries is ensured by a well-developed distribution system for book products. Modern book publishers and booksellers increase their efficiency by using the following business models and technologies: print on order (printondemand); print after the sale of the general circulation with the subsequent delivery (printposttrading); crowdfunding (subscription model of book publishing). Such strategies make it possible to efficiently use material resources, avoid warehouse costs, and establish fruitful interaction with consumers. Modern computer technologies are also used for marketing research, advertising and promotion of book products; direct interaction with the reader environment; the formation of electronic library systems.
