Abstract

The development of a strategy for the socio-economic development of a territory requires a preliminary analysis of its condition. In order to develop a socio-economic strategy for a city, it is necessary to have certain ideas about the trends taking shape in various sectors of the city’s economy. For these purposes, it is necessary to analyze the dynamics of the main indicators of urban development, the state of the economic and social infrastructure. Forecasting trends emerging in the economic and social sectors of urban development will allow to define and rank the priorities of the socio-economic development of the city. The article analyzes the dynamics of the main trends in the development of the economy of the city of Novoukrainka, Kirovograd region in 2010-2017, identifies the main trends observed in the main sectors of the economy and enterprises of the city. The place of the city in the structure of the economy of the Kirovograd region and Ukraine as a whole has been determined. The importance of predicting the state of the main indicators of urban development with the aim of determining the priority directions of its development has been proved. The main problems of urban development are identified. The forecasting of the dynamics of the main indicators of the state of the sectors of the economy and enterprises of the city has been carried out, recommendations have been made to determine the priority directions of its development.
