The essence and philosophy of lean production are considered as a basis for the success of Toyota. The role of the concept of continuous improvement in the activity of the industrial enterprise is determined. Established that implementation implies a profound and comprehensive cultural transformation. The analysis of key aspects and tools of continuous improvement that has been recognized by many companies from different industries in many countries of the world is carried out. The staff of the enterprise, the workers form the human capital, which is the bearer of knowledge acquired through life through education and qualification in the form of competences acquired during the participation in the production process at the enterprise. The application of knowledge is an intellectual work, the product of which is intellectual capital. Intellectual capital forms a new type of knowledge economy based economy. Therefore, an important element of implementation is the inclusive inclusion of all employees of the technological process in the search for reserves. This is the philosophy of the Kaizen system, which is the further improvement of the concept of lean manufacturing. In accordance with this philosophy, the main source of optimization of ideas is people who directly perform work, that is, human capital. To activate human capital, conditions and decisiveness are needed when implementing any idea, as well as the use of tools and methods to find new ideas. The success of implementation depends on the one hand on the degree of inclusive inclusion of human capital, and on the other - from the thesaurus of knowledge human capital, which includes competencies in the form of knowledge and skills. To implement Kaizen's philosophy, first of all, top management should bring to the general information a moderate and very clear statement about the new policy. After that top management needs to set up a timeline for implementing the strategy and lead the process by applying Kaizen procedures at your level.
