At the present stage of development, Ukraine is a dynamically developing state and seeks to become more actively involved in the world socio-economic processes, to integrate into the European community. This direction of development requires new approaches to the use of economic, human and natural resource potential of the regions, which will ensure the achievement of a qualitatively new level of efficiency and competitiveness of the economy and life of the population. Therefore, one of the important tasks of our time is to promote the competitiveness of the regions, its formation, maintenance and strengthening. The priority directions of increasing the competitiveness of the region at the present stage of economic development of the state are: stabilization of the economy and social sphere; development and diversification of agricultural and agro-industrial production; development of infrastructure and approximation of its quality to the EU standards; dissemination of ideas of public-private partnership on the European model; intensification of cooperation within the framework of Euroregions as a factor of competitiveness growth. An important factor in the competitiveness of the Odessa region is a favorable geopolitical position. Odessa region is a seaside and border region of Ukraine. On the territory of the region are the state borders of Ukraine with Romania and Moldova. In the South of Odessa region its outskirts out to the Black sea. As part of the Maritime facade of the country, the Odessa region greatly contributes to the active participation of Ukraine in the work of the countries-members of the black sea Economic Cooperation. Odessa region has significant export potential and opportunities to be competitive in the global economy. The introduction of appropriate measures and systems to support exports and exporters of the region will lead to increased competitiveness of goods of the Odessa region in international markets.
