The most significant in making managerial decisions of the theory are identified: prospects and procedural rationality. The role of the theory of rational management decision making as the dominant paradigm is defined. Proved the need for technology as ensuring rational management decision-making, which allows the manager to find the necessary criteria and choose the best alternative. A proprietary definition of management decision-making technology is proposed as a sequence of operations and methods for their implementation that lead to the selection and implementation of the most acceptable alternative. In order to formalize this process, an infogram has been developed. The structure of the management decision-making process to reduce the defective products of a milling enterprise has been proposed. The structure of its operations include: diagnosis of problems; systematization of factors affecting the defectiveness of products; identifying the main causes of defective products; development of measures to eliminate defects; verification of the effectiveness of the proposed activities. The developed scheme of a rational management decision-making procedure is notable for its flexibility, which is manifested in the ability of the manager to return from later operations to previous ones, if necessary, to rethink previous conclusions. The complex use of the affinity diagram and Pareto diagram methods in the management decision-making process to reduce the defective products of a milling enterprise has been substantiated. To summarize the deviations of the quality of the flour of the enterprise, the expediency of using the affinity diagram was proved on two grounds: a decrease in the yield of flour and the inconsistency of its quality with the established standards. It was established experimentally that the use of an affinity diagram allows you to systematize the flour defects in an enterprise; the use of the Pareto diagram allows you to determine the main causes of defects.
