In the process of research of methodical approaches to the analysis of innovative projects the characteristic of the innovative project was given. The classification of innovative projects, their life cycle, criteria for evaluating their effectiveness and the sequence of such evaluation were studied. The existing methods of evaluating the effectiveness of the innovation project were also analyzed, their difference from the evaluation of investment projects was revealed.
