Abstract

Purpose. The purpose of the article is to study current trends in the labor market, which affect the demand and competencies of economists, identify ways and methods of improving the necessary competencies through effective organization and self-improvement. Method. Improving personal skills is based on a thorough analysis of current trends in the labor market and identifying opportunities to improve certain competencies using various methods and tools at the level of education and personality. Results. The modern tendencies of the labor market of Ukraine are traced. The structure of the unemployed population of Ukraine is analyzed. The tendencies of development of demand on the labor market of Ukraine are revealed. The demand for the following professions is increasing: crisis manager, expert in digital transformation, expert in HR-transformation and others. The demand for specialists with knowledge and experience in the field of transformation technologies is due to the consequences of the global pandemic COVID-19, the emergence of crisis consequences in the activities of enterprises and the transition to new tools for doing business. The perspective list of the basic competences of workers and modern inquiries on competences from employers are formed. a list of the main necessary competencies of the future: development of information technologies; cross-functionality; mobility; new forms of employment, etc. The process of self-improvement of the individual must be permanent. Practical significance. Perspective directions of development of the education system on the example of economists are formulated. The main tools of self-improvement of the personality are allocated. It is impossible to get a modern education and remain a leading specialist all one's life, so it is necessary to apply the tools of self-improvement of a person throughout one's life
