Abstract

The purpose of this article is to research modern information technologies and innovations that can improve logistics processes and optimise the activities of logistics companies. The following methods were used for that purpose: empirical method, induction and deduction, analysis and synthesis, and comparison methods. At the current stage of economic development, logistics services occupy one of the leading positions on the world market. Logistic is a real tool for enhancing business efficiency, and it is the information technology and innovation that can improve the quality of logistics services, which can make the business more efficient and increase its competitiveness. Companies that implement innovative logistic technologies get significantly better results. This research has shown that today there are many technological advances that can change the future of the transport and logistics sector, making life better and more sustainable. The use of these innovative technologies is essential to create competitive advantages in today's logistics market, and the most promising technologies in the world's logistics industry are the Internet of Things, piece-by-piece intelligence, robotics, warehouse automation, and blockchain. Scientific novelty and practical importance. The history of information technology in logistics and the evolution of supply chain management technology are described. The main modern innovative technologies of improvement of logistic processes and optimization of logistic companies activity are described. The necessity of implementing innovative trends in logistic technologies was analyzed, the main benefits were identified and practical examples of their implementation were examined. The most promising information technologies that stimulate innovation in world logistics are identified. The present state of information technologies in logistics in Ukraine is characterized. Examples of main innovations of logistic technologies in Ukrainian logistic companies are reviewed.
