It is suggested to define the labor market as a system of social relations, social norms, and relationships formed between employers and employees in the process of buying and selling a specific product - labor. The main trends in the formation and development of the national labor market, which were manifested under the influence of the coronavirus crisis, are highlighted. It is determined that the success of overcoming the crisis phenomena that have developed in the labor market requires a comprehensive state and regional policy, which should include the implementation of measures to create additional jobs, improve tax legislation in the direction of entrepreneurship development and, as a result, increase the actual level of employment and income of the population.
