Abstract

The article analyses the current state of development of the infrastructure of the international cruise market in terms of overcoming the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and reducing tourist mobility. The data of the analysis of market shares of the leading international cruise companies for 1995 - 2020 are given. Factors influencing the development of cruise infrastructure, the attractiveness of coastal areas and reception canters for cruise tourists have been identified. The modern trends and directions of development of international cruise tourist flows are revealed and the forecast of development of the world cruise infrastructure till 2027 is made. It has been proven that over the last 10 years the infrastructure of the European cruise market industry has significantly expanded and has a stable growth trend due to the introduction of new passenger cruise ships on the Danube tourist routes. It is determined that the current trend is the course of cruise companies to green the cruise fleet, operators have abandoned plastic utensils on cruises, there is a transition to new fuels for ships, uses both fuel and batteries. All new liners starting in 2019, running on petroleum fuel, are equipped with special exhaust gas cleaning systems. In addition to technical and technological changes in the field of maritime tourism, there are global changes in the priority areas of cruises, which entail further changes in cruise regions. It is established that river tourist cruises are becoming more and more popular; changes in the popularity of cruise regions have been noted. Despite the fact that sea cruises remain the largest in number of visits, the Danube region is becoming increasingly popular among tourists in Europe. At the same time, the development of cruise infrastructure in the Black Sea region, and in particular in the coastal regions of Ukraine, is constrained by Russia's military aggression against Ukraine.
