Abstract

Methods. The main methods used in this research are were the method of comparison, logical and economic analysis, synthesis, generalization and content analysis. Results and discussion. The main focus of the article is on the evaluation of the high-tech sector of the economy, its role in the innovative development of the country, as well as forecasts regarding the recession and economic upswing of the world and national economies. It has been proven and demonstrated that, in accordance with the theory of long waves, the world economy is currently heading towards the lowest point of the great fifth cycle recession, globalization is gaining momentum and producing recession and depression against the background of changing financial and economic crises, cataclysms, pandemics, numerous military conflicts around the world. Instead, it was established that innovations are directly related to crisis phenomena or economic prosperity. It was emphasized that with the advent of the pandemic, the planning horizon for everyone was sharply reduced and it was necessary to concentrate on issues of survival and adaptation. For Ukraine, such a situation is currently burdened by a complex war. In addition, the article provides parallels and differences between globalization and glocalization. Recommendations have been developed to promote the effective integration of economic (first of all, the strategic development of the industrial complex for the recovery of the state economy), political and cultural processes.
