Abstract

The purpose of the article is to assess the integration priorities of foreign trade relations of the Odesa region and the European Union in the conditions of the functioning of the free trade zone.. Method. the system-analytical method was used; comparison method - to determine the causes and degree of impact of dynamic changes and deviations; grouping method - to systematize factual data; method of tabular display of analytical data - for displaying analytical information. The main trends in the development of foreign trade in commodity products of the Odesa region are analyzed from the point of view of its readiness to be included in the processes of economic integration with the European Union. The dynamics of export and import of foreign trade in goods of the Odesa region, the dynamics of changes in the foreign trade balance of commodity products of the region are revealed. The trends of export and import of foreign trade in goods of the Odesa region with the countries of the European Union were studied. The problems that hinder the effective development of foreign trade relations have been identified. It is substantiated that at the current stage, the basis of regional policy should be the formation of conditions for the effective development of economic and sectoral cooperation in the priority spheres of economy. Priority directions in the field of further development of international trade have been determined. The practical importance of the study is to determine the features of foreign trade in goods in the Odesa region, the analysis of trends, directions of its development and its place in the system of modern international trade relations with the EU.
