The purpose of the research is the analysis of modern trends in the management of the competitiveness of the enterprise with the aim of improving the toolkit of strategic analysis. Method. During the research, a system-analytical method was used, which made it possible to determine that the process of managing competitiveness includes a number of actions: analysis and assessment of competition on the market and assessment of the industry competitive situation on the market; research on the level of competitiveness of the enterprise and analysis of the main competitors; analysis of strategic business areas and competitive positioning; formation of the concept and management strategy of the process of ensuring the competitiveness of the enterprise; implementation of the company's competitive strategy. The results. The analysis of the composition and structure of the stages of the competitiveness management process made it possible to substantiate the structure of a complex of blocks that exert mutual influence and are susceptible to the side effects of external and internal factors, which in turn form a whole multifunctional and complex system of enterprise competitiveness management. The developed algorithm for the development of the program of the process of ensuring competitiveness includes: determination and prioritization of goals; specification of goals and diagnosis of resource and time constraints; formation of strategies taking into account short-term and long-term risks; action planning and determination of strategy stages; creating an organizational structure; establishment of methods and measurement of achieved results; determination of costs associated with the implementation of the strategy; assessment of the expected effectiveness of the proposed measures. Practical significance. The results of the analysis made it possible to identify the problems of achieving management goals. The process of managing business processes as a component of managing an organization in order to ensure its competitiveness is justified.
