Abstract

The purpose of the article is to study the current state and justify ways to improve the investment attractiveness of the Odesa region. The research methodology includes a number of general scientific and special research methods: analysis of scientific literature, systematic approach, method of key concepts, comparison, scientific abstraction, program method and generalization. Based on the results of the study, it was determined that the investment attractiveness of the Odesa region is an integral indicator that is formed taking into account the influence of many factors (economic, social, political, natural, infrastructural, etc.) that characterize the region and its socio-economic situation, and which collectively reflect the degree of compliance of the investment object with the investors' interests. It was also determined that in recent years there has been an increase in the volume of direct foreign investments in the Odesa region. It has been established that in general the Odesa region belongs to the regions with a sufficiently high investment attractiveness, but recently the investment processes in the Odesa region have slowed down due to the reduction of financial capabilities of investors and the state, which is caused by full-scale military actions on the territory of Ukraine. The concept of improving the investment climate and investment activity of the Odesa region has been developed, which should contribute to the activation of the inflow of foreign investments into the region's economy, the attraction of international aid funds, and an increase in the volume of investment activity. The practical significance of the work lies in the development of specific recommendations for improving the investment attractiveness of the Odesa region, which can be implemented in practice.
