Abstract

The article covers the current state and development trends of hospitality industry enterprises. The purpose of the study is to develop strategic directions for increasing competitiveness and innovative development of hotel-restaurant and tourist business enterprises in the conditions of modern socio-economic transformations and challenges. In the conditions of modern socio-economic transformations, the development of effective approaches to the formation and increase of competitive advantages by enterprises of the hospitality and tourism industry, taking into account the trends of the development of the world economy, is gaining special importance and significance, which will allow them to successfully face competition on the international market in the future. Using the principles of the system approach, the method of generalization and critical analysis, it has been proven that the development of the hospitality industry as one of the most socially important components of the service sector in modern crisis conditions makes it possible to smooth out the uneven functioning of economic systems at various levels and ensure their rapid recovery in post-crisis conditions. The competitiveness of enterprises in the hospitality industry and tourism business as a whole is a multi-vector characteristic that reflects the ability of the enterprise and business as a system to dynamically respond to changes in the market situation in order to maintain dominance over other business entities. It is substantiated that increasing the competitiveness of the hotel-restaurant and tourist product can be achieved by the introduction of innovative hospitality services and service technologies. Based on the results of the conducted research, it was concluded that one of the most important directions for the formation of strategic competitive advantages in the hotel-restaurant and tourism business is the provision of higher quality services compared to competitive counterparts. In order to strengthen the competitive advantages of the hospitality industry, it is important to develop organizational schemes for the implementation of regional policy in this area in relation to hotel, restaurant and tourist enterprises.
