Abstract

The fiscal space of the state is formed on the basis of interaction between state and local self-government bodies and economic entities in the process of distribution, redistribution of financial resources and the formation of new funds. The presence of such a space is mandatory for the implementation of the functions assigned to them by the specified bodies. And therefore, conducting scientific research on the peculiarities of the formation of such a space within the national economy is relevant and allows deepening the theoretical and applied aspects of the state's implementation of the development of economic relations. The article examines the essence of the definition of "fiscal space", which was implemented based on the analysis of the content of such categories as "space", "economic space". It was established that the category "space" is multi-faceted and is considered within various sciences, which necessitated the specification of the content of the economic space and description of its features. For this, a content analysis of scientific approaches to the interpretation of this type of space was conducted. This made it possible to single out and systematize specific features of its functioning. Based on the obtained results, the author's approach to the consideration of the essence of the fiscal space is also determined, namely: the fiscal space is a separate component of the economic space, a complex hierarchical system of financial relations between economic entities that arise in the process of distribution, redistribution of funds for the accumulation of financial resources by bodies state power and local self-government, their effective use in order to fulfill the functions assigned to them. The article also specified the specific features of the fiscal space and found out that the main difference that distinguishes this space from other components of the economic space is the mandatory participation of state authorities in the system of financial relations that function and develop within the fiscal space.
