Abstract

The purpose of the article is to reveal new theoretical aspects of enterprise sustainable development formation through the study of its methodological relationship with the categories of the modern business ecosystem. The tasks of the research involve studying the essence of enterprise sustainable development, establishing and describing its relationship with such economic categories as balance, innovation, potential; formulation of the principles of ensuring the sustainable development of the socioeconomic system. The set goal is achieved by consistently solving problems using dialectical and logical approaches, methods of induction and deduction, analysis and synthesis, complex and systemic approaches. The main theoretical results of the research, which contain elements of scientific novelty, are the clarification of the essence of sustainable development and the establishment of a methodological relationship with the categories whose role is key in ensuring it. It has been proven that sustainable development is a spiral process of progressive change of equilibrium states from lower to qualitatively higher levels. The quantitative characteristic of equilibrium defines the available enterprise potential, sufficient to realize the mission of its activity. From here, the object of influence on the part of the management system is deduced – the potential of the enterprise, which is formed to ensure the fulfillment of tasks at the strategic, tactical and operational levels in order to ensure the balanced development of its activities. Equilibrium as a state of potential is formed under the influence of direct and feedback links with innovations, the implementation of which activates the mechanism for ensuring the sustainable development of the enterprise. Hence the conclusion about the relationship between equilibrium and sustainable development of the enterprise as content and form, respectively. Attention is focused on the key thesis that sustainable development as the movement of an enterprise from one equilibrium state to a qualitatively different, higher-level equilibrium state is not an end in itself, but is subordinated to the realization of the purpose of the enterprise’s activity. lies in determining the principles of ensuring the enterprise sustainable development, which provide for the balance of its economic, social and environmental strategic business guidelines; maintaining a sufficient level of self-financing; implementation of innovations as a key tool for overcoming the crisis and ensuring sustainable development.
