Abstract

It is considered the essence and features of the Lean Six Sigma as a way of improving business processes at enterprises. The aim of the study is to demonstrate the key aspects and features of the Lean Six Sigma, which is used to improve the quality and efficiency of production processes at enterprises. The methods of analysis, analogy and comparative analysis are used to achieve the formulated goals. The approaches of quality management as the basis of this methodology are considered. Lean management, which focuses on the elimination of redundant processes and minimizing losses, and Six Sigma, which is aimed at reducing the variability of processes, improving them through the elimination of defects and improving predictability. The shortcomings of individual concepts and the advantages of their synthesis are analyzed. The advantages include a constant desire to reduce losses and improve quality, focus on customer needs, and participation of all levels of employees in process improvement. The implementation of Lean Six Sigma affects both economic growth and the improvement of the atmosphere within the team. The importance of personnel training for the successful implementation of the methodology is emphasized. The role of Lean Six Sigma in modern business is determined. Examples of successful application of the methodology in various fields and benefits from its use are given. The practical significance of the study is to provide recommendations for companies to implement this concept to improve the quality of their processes, achieve success and competitive advantage are provided.
