Abstract

The article discusses the concept of lean manufacturing-Kaizen and the basic principles of its functioning at the enterprise. The aim of the study is to identify the problems of implementing the Kaizen system at domestic enterprises, study the human factor and its impact on the implementation of its principles, as well as develop the stages of implementing the Kaizen concept for Ukrainian enterprises. The research methodology includes generalization, methods of analysis and synthesis. The article analyzes the existing situations of introduction of lean production by Ukrainian companies and provides recommendations on combining innovations and Kaizen for the development of the enterprise. Based on the basic principles of Kaizen flow and Kaizen processes, it was determined that enterprises should operate using a combination of rapid innovation and systematic Kaizen methods. Since the driving force of kaizen is the people working at the enterprise, it is their initiative and desire to improve their skills and workplace that determines the effectiveness of the enterprise and the degree of customer satisfaction. It is important to build a system for submitting proposals and encouraging the participation of all employees in this process. Therefore, the paper defines the main modern methods of moral motivation of employees. The "Just in time" tool is analyzed as a method of reducing enterprise costs and the main obstacles to its implementation are identified on the example of the work of metallurgical enterprises in modern conditions. Ways to use the "poka-Yoke" method and examples of using lean manufacturing by Ukrainian companies are given. The reasons that hinder the introduction of the Kaizen cost management system in the production activities of domestic enterprises are given. The practical significance of the article lies in the fact that the results of the study can be used to create a detailed plan for the implementation of the concept of lean production by Ukrainian enterprises.
