Abstract

Purpose. The purpose of the study is to identify influencing factors in the process of interaction with the external and internal environment of the banking system as a complex hierarchical economic system, which determine the relevant external and internal functions of the system and form conditions for the functional adaptation of the banking sector of the economy - a component of its financial infrastructure. Method. In order to obtain the results of the study, classical systemic and structuralfunctional methodological approaches were used in determining the external and internal environment of the banking system. The methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison and analogy were used to identify the factors influencing the environment on the system, PEST - analysis to identify the factors influencing the external environment and SWOT - analysis to identify the factors influencing the internal environment on the banking system of Ukraine, by the method of classification and logical analysis of internal and external functions banking system as a complex economic system.Results. He article analyzes various approaches to ensuring the financial security of banking institutions. The place of financial security management strategy in the system of corporate strategic management of the bank is considered. The need to take into account regulatory influences of the NBU on strategy formation was emphasized. Correspondence of threats and indicators of the bank's financial security was determined. Scientifical novelty. It is substantiated that in order to identify the factors influencing the external and internal environment on the banking system, it is necessary to use the classic systemic and structural-functional approach. The classification of external and internal functions of the banking system was further developed in accordance with the factors influencing the external and internal environment. Practical importance lies in the possibility of improving the mechanism of functional adaptation of the banking system to changes in the external environment. The transformation of the functions of the banking system and its individual elements allows timely assessment of the potential of the system and the extent of changes in the future.
