Abstract
The article examines current directions for improving enterprise management through the implementation of modern
competitive competencies. The purpose of the article is research and economic substantiation of the development and implementation
of modern competitive competencies of industrial enterprises, which allow to improve the existing management system at the
enterprise, to improve its competitiveness both on the domestic and foreign economic markets. The research methodology involves
the use of methods: empirical research (comparison, observation), theoretical research (ascending from the abstract to the
concrete), general scientific methods (abstraction and concretization, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, analogy),
etc. The urgency of solving the scientific problem defined in the article is that in the conditions of an unstable national financial
and economic situation, the need to improve the management system of enterprises through the development of measures to
improve competitive competencies is clearly formed. The results of the research are as follows: the key indicators of improving
the management system of industrial enterprises through the development of measures to improve competitive competencies are
determined. Management mechanisms for improving the management system of industrial enterprises are proposed. Thus, the
elements of competitive competencies of industrial enterprises proposed by the author for implementation will open an opportunity
to improve the management apparatus at the higher, middle and lower levels of management. The originality and practical value of
the research lies in the fact that the article substantiates the methodological apparatus of the cause-and-effect relationship between
the development and implementation of various effective strategies for improving competitiveness and the role of the management apparatus in the implementation and achievement of these strategies. The conclusions of the study are as follows: it is revealed that
the choice of certain methods characterizing the competitive competence of the enterprise depends on the goals of management.
In each option, the most important factors of the enterprise must be taken into account: its reputation, financial position, solvency,
sufficient production and scientific and technical potential. The results of the conducted research can be useful for enterprises of
the industrial sector, organizations with foreign investments.
