Abstract

The purpose of the article is to study thSe regional features of direct foreign investment in the economy of Ukraine. To achieve the goal, the research set the task of analyzing foreign investments according to the parameters of their volume and investment directions, identifying factors and problematic aspects of changes in the volume of direct foreign investments at the current stage of development of Ukraine's international economic relations. The research used methods of analysis, synthesis and generalization of information, methods of statistical and graphical analysis to analyze the state and dynamics of foreign direct investment attraction in Ukraine and its regions. In order to achieve the set goal and objectives, the dynamics of the distribution of direct foreign investments by regions of Ukraine were analyzed, and losses in investment in the regions due to hostilities were recorded. Data on the state of foreign investment by individual leading regions that attract foreign investment during wartime, as well as key features of foreign investment in wartime, are summarized. Attention is focused on changes in the legislation of Ukraine, which is aimed at creating conditions for foreign investment, including by simplifying the requirements for investment projects with significant investments. A number of proposals for regional stimulation of attracting foreign direct investment have been formulated. The theoretical significance of the study lies in the further development of the problem of attracting foreign direct investment in a regional context. The practical significance of the research results lies in the formulation of directions for the activation of the attraction of foreign capital in the real sector of the economy for economic development in the war and post-war period.
