Abstract

The article is devoted to the role of humanitarian disciplines in finding a balance between labor and educational services markets and includes an attempt to analyze the prospects of a modern young graduate in job placement and career development. The situation is considered at the angle of a competent approach and the theory of capital. It turns out that a young professional, in addition to knowledge in the field, needs flexibility in thinking, the ability to learn and retrain, to switch from task to task, broad outlook, communication skills, the ability to understand other employees, to coordinate in the management system, the ability to develop and defend his/her position, to support the relationship "mentor-student", to make humane decisions. These knowledge, skills and abilities acquired in universities, mainly due to the socio-humanitarian cycle of disciplines, give the graduate more employment opportunities.
